Jermyn & Co. is an East Anglian based firm, with Karl Jermyn, the founder, being a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales for over 20 years.

We want to change accounts, is it expensive and complicated?

No. Oppositely it may save you money. We will typically need to spend time getting to know your organisation and how you work, free of charge for this process. You can also benefit from obtaining a quotation for a fixed fee of years so you can be assured that unless your activities change substantially, accountancy fees will not.

How long should I keep personal tax record for?

It is often good practice to retain records for six years although certain information may need to be kept for longer and some for less time. It depends on what the records are. You should always take advice from chartered accountants like us.

Do start-ups need an accountant?

It’s necessary for new businesses to have a trustworthy accountant even in the early stages that not making profit, because there is a requirement to register with HMRC and report results annually. Also, make sure your choice of accountant is also able to advise you on tax strategy and corporate structure.
